Teaching & Research Abroad with Georgetown

Several avenues are available to faculty interested in overseas research and teaching opportunities. The Office of Global Services, the Office of Global Education, as well as schools and departments can provide guidance about teaching and research both here and abroad.

The Office of Global Services serves as a resource to faculty interested in the availability of teaching or short-term lecturing opportunities at our existing partner institutions. In addition, the Office of Global Services supports faculty conducting university-sponsored research or teaching abroad through the University's international travel policy.

The Office of Global Education coordinates semester-long teaching opportunities at overseas programs in Italy. With the support of the faculty member’s department chair, proposals are reviewed by a faculty steering committee.  Please contact Karen Wardzala, klw45@georgetown.edu, for more information about teaching at one of Georgetown's historic villas.  In addition, faculty are welcome to submit proposals to lead a short-term undergraduate program by following the guidelines found here.
