Overseas Entities & Presences
Georgetown’s schools, faculty, and administrators are increasingly conducting operations around the world. Global activities often involve a complex array of university policies, ranging from travel and safety to tax and finance. OGS provides information and advice on relevant policies and the effective development and execution of operations worldwide.
OGS is proud to support the development and administration of non-credit and graduate student programming at Villa Le Balze in Fiesole, Italy. This historic property outside of Florence has ample space for events, lectures, and small conferences, as well as lodging for up to twenty-two. We encourage faculty and staff who are planning events or activities in Europe to consider Villa Le Balze as a venue for non-credit or graduate student activities or university-sponsored events and meetings.
In addition to Villa Le Balze, Georgetown currently has overseas entities and presences in the following locations:
- Nairobi, Kenya
- Madrid, Spain
- Salamanca, Spain
- Doha, Qatar
- London, UK
- Rome, Italy
OGS also works with offices across campus to develop, communicate, and monitor policies relating to international activity. Key partners include the offices of Risk Management, Compliance, Human Resources, Finance, Contracts/Procurement, and University Counsel.
